One Year Later

2025 has almost passed me by

I haven’t had a chance to do much this last year. I was on a rollercoaster of a job that wasn’t a good fit for me or my talents. I hated being in that position–like I was letting people down. But I hated what was happening to me as well.

There are times where it is best to just let go in order to heal. I am still have issues letting go, though, but it will get better. I am sure of it.

I just returned from a wonderful author and publishing conference with a number of things I can do relatively quickly to move my author business along. Such as throw my books up on ElevenReader to get minimal, inexpensive audio books out to my readers. Then I can pivot to some of the great options that now exist to produce professional audio books, releasing those to retailer sites, like Spotify or InAudio.

I am looking at possibly doing translations, but I need a better plan for that. I will probably jump into that arena slower. Not sure which countries to start with, but Germany and France are generally the two big ones.

I won an annual subscription to a tool to help me make slides and schedule them for TikTok, as well as reels for Instagram. So, I will be doing some of that as well, from a marketing standpoint.

The best thing is that I am writing again. I have started the third book for the League of Unusual Shifters series, while I am editing the second book in that series. I am editing the first book of a new series; one which I had done for fun but I am wary of releasing it until I get some other things completed.

And I am still editing that last Rare Wolf book. It is going slower than I expected, and I came up with 2 more series I could write in that same world (Isn’t that the way?).

But there are so many stories in my head that I have told myself I couldn’t write yet. The hope is now that I will have time to get some of them on paper. And out into the world.

I am interested in several things. I’d like to sign up for your newsletter. (This website has me stuck in a loop of “sign up” ‘thank you for signing up” sign up”.)
I’d also like the prequel, “The Prophecy”.
Lastly, I’d like to know how you went from writing stories to being published.
    Your newest fan,

      Hello!

      Hi, Nancy.

Sorry for the delay. I tend to forget to check this mailbox when I am focused on a new task.

I am not sure why it is cycling like that. I will look into it. Try this link: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/hcmq34bo2r

It is fairly easy to go from writing the stories, getting them edited and then published. At least onto Amazon. I am just expanding out to other platforms this year. One of the best Facebook groups to check out is the 20Booksto50K. Or you can look into the group Successful Indie Author.

I started with the 20Books group when I first started. There were so many people there that were helpful.
